“Tutti Fratelli” — Through the Archives of Henry Dunant
Welcome to the first exhibit of my portfolio. In creating this piece, I delved into the International Committee of the Red Cross’ Audiovisual Archives, as well as biographical and first-hand texts to uncover the story of Henry Dunant– the esteemed, impactful, and extremely complex founder of the International Committee of the Red Cross, and the force behind the Geneva Convention of 1864. The Red Cross, to this day, strives to protect and uphold the principles of neutrality and universality enshrined in the Convention, promoting just treatment for combatants, civilians, and civilian resources caught in the crossfire of armed conflict. As you scan the archival resources, as if reading from left to right, click on each image to reveal the narrative story that ties them together.
